Dear Friend,
I hope this note finds you in good health and high spirits.
I am thrilled to share with you that I have joined the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) as the new Chief Executive Officer. I am deeply grateful for the incredible support you have provided CRI over the years and am eager to build upon the remarkable legacy left by my predecessor, Dr. Jill O’Donnell-Tormey.
My years of performing cancer research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) - and my previous role as Chief Science Officer at Color Health - have equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field of immunotherapy. My commitment to advancing innovative treatments and improving patient outcomes aligns perfectly with CRI’s mission.
Your generous contributions have played a crucial role in enabling CRI to invest over $500 million into transformative research. I am excited to continue this journey with you and to drive forward our mission to harness the power of the immune system to fight cancer.
I look forward to sharing updates on our progress and exploring new ways to engage with you as we advance towards our goal of building a world immune to cancer. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication.
Warmest regards,
Dr. Alicia Zhou, PhD Chief Executive Officer Cancer Research Institute
